Tour Information

Jo has a few favourite walking tour destinations, but please feel free to request whatever you would like to have incorporated into your tour.

Hog Bay Park - near Somerset Bridge

A stretch of the Railway Trail, agricultural plots and a disused lime kiln, on the way into the park, leads to a steep descent to the South Shore.  The peak of the ensuing ascent rewards us with outstanding vistas across the Great Sound, towards Spanish Point and the Dockyard.

Admiralty House Park, Shaw Wood Estate & Spanish Point Park

The challenges of communications between the Dockyard Commissioner and the Admiral of the America's and West Indies Squadron are evident on one half of this walk.  An unusual perspective on the entrance to Hamilton Harbour is on the other side.

Blue Hole Park & Walsingham Nature Reserve

In this geologically oldest area of Bermuda, we can enter several unmarked caves and a maze of paths in "Tom Moore's Jungle," taking us back to the way Bermuda used to be.  The route will depend on your ability to clamber!

Great Head & Little Head Parks, St. David's

Views of the sea, approaches to St. George's and the channel markers showing the route to the Dockyard and Hamilton, underscore the seafaring traditions of neighboring St. David's and the need for defensive fortification at this end of the island.
