9th Annual PartnerRe Women's 5K Run and Walk

The PartnerRe Women's 5K Run & Walk is Bermuda's only all-female road-race event. Presented by Mid-Atlantic Athletic Club (MAAC) and sponsored by PartnerRe Ltd., it is focused on female health, fitness and self-esteem. Since 1998, the charity event has raised more than $65,000 for women's causes, including education campaigns about breast cancer and physical abuse.

Start & Finish: Botanical Gardens, Paget (parking in the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital's Berry Hill Road north parking lot).

Route: Girls under 16: 3.2K - Botanical Gardens North Gate, Berry Hill, Point Finger Road, South Road, Tee Street, Berry Hill Road, finish Camden.
Women Runners & Walkers - Botanical Gardens North Gate, Berry Hill Road to Harbour Road, Lovers Lane, South Road, Tee Street, Berry Hill Road, finish Camden.

ACE Gallery

ACE Global Headquarters, 17 Woodbourne Avenue, City of Hamilton, Pembroke.
From the ACE Collection approximately 70 original, unique and historic Bermuda maps spanning the 16th to 19th centuries. One of the largest collections of Bermuda maps on public display, arranged in a special exhibition to mark ACE's 20th and Bermuda's 500th anniversaries.

Admission: Free. Open Monday to Friday. Except public holidays. Groups welcome by appointment.

Bermuda Bridge Club Games

The Bermuda Bridge Club runs regular bridge games that are open to anyone including visitors. The Club plays Duplicate Contract Bridge. Games are open to all, except on Wednesday evenings which are restricted to players with less than 100 Master points. Game times: Mondays 1:00pm & 7:30pm, Wednesdays 9:30am & 7:30pm (novice game), Fridays 8:00pm. Games are played all year round and are subject to Christmas and New Year holidays.

Fee: $10 per game for non-members.

Bermuda Cat Fanciers' Association Cat Show 2006

This popular annual event features a pedigree championship of premier cats and kittens as well as household pets judged by C.F.A. "All Breed" US judges. There are also raffles, SPCA and BFAB booths.

Bermuda Historical Society Museum

Former home of the Perot family now housing large collection of Bermudiana including portraits, furniture, silver, ship models and clocks. The building is adjacent from Perot Post Office.

Bermuda Lectures & Tours- Year Round Tours

A selection of scheduled and privately arranged guided walks and talks, throughout the year. (Jan - Dec), covering all aspects of Bermuda, including architecture, geology, flora and fauna. Tours are tailored to families, general public, corporate groups and special interest.

Bermuda National Trust's Gold Tour, Historic Home and Nature Reserve

Bermuda National Trust Headquarters, Waterville, Pomander Road, Paget.
Join local eco-history expert, Tim Rogers for a fascinating morning visiting and learning in depth about the architecture, history, geology and natural history of two National Trust 'golden' treasures. The tour starts at the National Trust's HQ - Waterville on the outskirts of Hamilton - easily accessed by bus. The house, not typically offered to visitors for touring is open to you on our GOLD tour. The house is furnished on one floor with an interesting mix of local and imported furniture as well as good oils, watercolours, maps and china. The property also hosts the Bermuda Rose Society's "Rose Repository". After touring the house and grounds we take light refreshment and then 'cab it' to Paget Marsh - the last surviving pre-colonial marsh. Ecologically a real treasure! Join us on the exclusive, private tour of two Bermudian treasures.

Admission: $60 per person including taxi, refreshments and Bermuda National Trust Combo pass to three Bermuda National Trust Museums.

Open to Professional Golfers and accomplished Amateurs with USGA Handicap Index of 5.4 or a handicap of 6 or less if your country does not use the USGA handicap index system.

Entry Fee: $375 for Professionals, $300 for Amateurs, which includes a practice round. Closing date for entries: September 29, 2006.

Bermuda Quilter's Guild

Cultural Art Tour

The Cultural Art Tour on Tuesdays is not to be missed! This one-hour tour provides visitors with an insightful exploration of the rich historical tapestry that is Bermuda's heritage. Covering Bermuda's history through the arts, its distinctive architecture, quintessential decorative arts and the rise of a celebrated fine arts community. This tour brings Bermuda's past to the present and provides visitors with a chance to see the living history of the Island. A minimum of six adults is required and bookings must be made in advance.

King Edward VII Gold Cup

Hosted by the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club, the King Edward VII Gold Cup is the oldest match racing trophy for competition involving One Design yachts. In 2004, Russell Coutts won this prestigious event for a record breaking seventh time. The Royal Bermuda Yacht Club is open to the public for viewing the racing and for special functions during this regatta.
