I was born
in Arkansas, but moved to Memphis, Tennessee, at an
early age. Several years ago, I moved 25 miles
away from Memphis - out in the country! I have
been married to my husband, Tim, for 23 years and we
have a son in college. I teach art at a small,
private school.
I am an
artist at heart and have been since I can remember.
I was drawing before I ever started to school. My
parents gave me a weaving loom when I was seven years
old and I was immediately attracted to textiles. I
painted mostly in acrylics until I went to a Remington &
Russell Art Exhibit in 2002. Seeing the letters
that Russell wrote to his family, during his stay out
west, changed the way I
painted. I started using delicate watercolors with
pen and ink detail, like he did. |
